What Venues Charge for Graphics, Signs & Rigging

The published dollar figures behind putting graphics up in a convention venue — surface-branding rates, sign-hanging and rigging fees, permit and plan-review costs, and the penalties for residue and late plans — at 16 U.S. venues, each figure as recorded from the venue’s, the city’s or the exclusive contractor’s own document and cited to it. Nothing on this page is our price.

Shaped 2026-09-02 from the Venue Graphics-Rules Index (documents read 2026-08-09) — cited per figure

Every figure below was read in a document the venue, the city or its contractor publishes, and links to it. Rate sheets and show kits change each season: the document for your dates governs. Where a venue publishes no figure, the page says so rather than guessing. We deliberately do not print our own install rates — the cost guide explains why — so these are the other lines of the bill, the ones that land before an installer is even chosen.

The fast read

  • 45 published figures at 16 of 34 indexed venues, in four kinds: 12 branding & surface rates, 10 sign-hanging, rigging & labour lines, 11 permit & plan-review fees, 12 penalties and late charges.
  • Only 3 venues publish a price for the surface itself — Resorts World Las Vegas, Seattle Convention Center (Arch and Summit), Colorado Convention Center. Everywhere else, branding a wall or window is quoted through the show or the exclusive vendor, and the documents carry no rate.
  • The single biggest published penalty for a graphics crew is George R. Brown Convention Center’s $1,000 per exhibit hall for tape, residue or booth stickers left behind. Removal is part of the install scope, not an afterthought.
  • Where sign hanging is a flat published fee — Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium $1,000 flat, covering installation and strike; Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium +$450 per sign, on top of the flat fee — the hang can cost more than the sign.
  • 14 indexed venues publish no dollar figure at all for graphics, signs or rigging in the documents we read — listed below. That absence is a finding: at those buildings the number arrives only through the show contractor’s order form.

Side by side

One row per venue that publishes at least one figure. A cell reading not published means the documents we read carry no figure of that kind — not that the thing is free.

Worked examples: their figures, our assumptions

Each example multiplies a published figure by a quantity we chose, and says which. The total is what goes to the venue or city before print and install — the part of the bill an exhibitor usually discovers on the invoice.

Resorts World Las Vegas: Brand one large foyer glass surface for a three-day show

LineQuantityPublished figureSubtotal
Large foyer walls and glass surfaces3 show days$1,000$3,000
Paid to the venue before any print or installfrom $3,000

Assumptions are ours, not the venue’s: three show days; one surface; the venue's 'from' rate, before print and install. Figures are the venue’s or city’s published ones, linked in its section below.

Resorts World Las Vegas: Freight-elevator operator for one load-in and one load-out

LineQuantityPublished figureSubtotal
Freight-elevator operator, required for load-in and load-out2 × 4-hour minimum$95$760

LineQuantityPublished figureSubtotal
Column wraps2 columns at the $450 tier$450$900

Weekend hangs2 weekend days$225$450
Paid to the venue before any print or install$1,450

Assumptions are ours, not the venue’s: one sign that meets the venue's 'simple' definition; the hang happens on two weekend days. Figures are the venue’s or city’s published ones, linked in its section below.

George R. Brown Convention Center: Tape residue left behind in two exhibit halls

LineQuantityPublished figureSubtotal
Tape, residue or booth stickers left behind2 halls$1,000$2,000
Paid to the venue before any print or install$2,000

Venue by venue

Grouped the way the rules index is grouped — Las Vegas first, then by jurisdiction. Every row links its document; the verbatim index sentence each figure was read from is one click away under each table. A ✓ beside a figure means our nightly document watch found that exact number in the current text of the cited document; a ⚠ means it did not and the row is pending re-verification.

Venues that publish no figure

In the documents we read for the rules index, these 14 venues state rules for graphics, signs and rigging but no dollar amount for any of them. The fee exists; it is on the show contractor’s order form or arrives as a quote.

Recorded, but not found in the cited document

The rules index records these 8 figures against the documents named beside them. Our nightly document check read each of those documents in full and did not find the number in its current text — in each case the figure appears to live in an adjacent fee schedule the index row does not cite, or the document has changed since it was read. They are listed here, not in the tables above, until the citation is re-verified. Last checked 2026-09-02.
