Two separate reports exist, a decade apart, on two slightly different cement-board specifications — a useful illustration that an E84 number is a result for one specimen build, not a property of the film.
What to hand a fire marshal
- ASTM E84-00a, ASTM E84-11a (Tested): the report cited in that row tests this product to that standard — hand it over when that standard is the one the fire marshal asked for (a slip or EU test does not answer an ASTM E84 request). A named third-party report tests this exact product.
